The tiny island of Barbados has the honour of producing the most test players per capita of any country anywhere in the world. Among the list of greats are Sir Frank Worrell, Sir Garfield Sobers, Gordon Greenidge, Joel Garner, Malcolm Marshall, Desmond Haynes, as well as current West Indies internationals, Kraigg Braithwaite & Jason Holder.
Some of you may not know Ricky Clarke, but he has been involved at the forefront in coaching and developing the careers of many West Indies test players at the Wanderers Cricket Club in Barbados for decades.
We are very much looking forward to Ricky brightening up our cold January evening as he discusses the current state of West Indies cricket and his hopes for the future of cricket in Barbados & the West Indies. Ricky is also bringing over a team from the Wanderers Cricket Club to tour England this summer, with a number of matches in Scarborough.
For more information about Ricky, there is a great interview with Clive Myrie that is available on BBC Iplayer, just click below.
