Wombwell Cricket Lovers’ Society Annual Cricket Awards  

 The Society present a number of annual awards including: 
Cricket Writer, Cricket Commentator, County Captain, Young Cricketer, 
and Cricketer of the Year as well as a Wicketkeeper of the Year award and one in memory of Learie Constantine for Fielder of the Year. 
Other local cricket awards are also presented on occasions.

Denis Compton Award for Flair: Mark Wood 

Learie Constantine Fielder of the Year: Wayne Madsen 

Arthur Wood Wicket-keeper of the Year: Ben Foakes and Ben Brown (Joint) 

Jack Fingleton Cricket Commentator of the Year: Kevin Howells 

J M Kilburn Cricket Writer of the Year: 
Scott Oliver (Sticky Dogs and Stardust)

The Wombwell Cricket Lovers’ Society Annual Cricket Awards were decided by members voting at the Society’s Annual General Meeting on Monday 2 October 2023.
